About the Book

“Eggbert the Hero” is the fi rst of a book series. It centers around Eggbert and his family and includes the antics and problems of the goldfi nch fl ock as a whole.
In this book, Eggbert fl ies to Florida for the fi rst time. But he is prone to daydreaming about becoming an airplane pilot. Wham! He hits his head on a tree limb and is knocked out cold. When he wakes up, his fl ock is gone. Now he must fi nd his way to Florida by himself. With the help of some newfound friends, he boards an airplane, but the pilots lose consciousness! Can Eggbert save the plane as it dives faster and faster?

About the Author

Trisha Fields grew up in the shadow of the Sleeping Giant Mountain, which was the focus of her fi rst book, “The Day the Giant Woke.” She has also written for several newspapers including her own horse magazine, “Stirrup News.”
