About the Book

This short book is not a self-help book. It is not a how-to book. This is just me and my husband’s story, a story of two unimportant people, important only to ourselves and our loved ones, and how two ordinary people can still stay together even in a day and age where it is easy to move on and quit the hard work of a relationship. This book is also simply what the cover says. It’s about marriage from a wife’s point of view. It is purely for the enjoyment of the reader, or perhaps for their annoyance. My thoughts on marriage or mainly my thoughts on my own marriage are something you, as the reader may be able to relate to, to laugh at, or to just plain say “I know, me too!”

About the Author

Essay and Ken live in the upper Midwest in a suburb of a major metropolitan area. They have three gorgeous children, now grown, and two very large, very lazy cats. Though this is Essay’s first published book, she has written numerous technical documents during her short military career. She is an avid reader of mystery books, Science Fiction Fantasy books, and conspiracy theory books (loves Agatha Christie, Arthur Conan Doyle, J.R.R Tolkien, David & Leah Eddings, Dan Brown, and Steve Berry!), loves everything in nature (never met a tree she didn’t like), and especially loves her family. Essay’s mixed heritage (½ Japanese and ½ English, Irish, Scottish, German = 100% American!!!) has created in her a person who asks a lot of questions about life in general which is why she chose to write this book. She has been married to her husband for 26 years and plans the rest of her life with him but she wonders every day what makes this man love her and want to stay with her. So she makes fun of him and their relationship in this book that reads more like a conversation over a cup of coffee and in doing so, maybe she has found out what makes their marriage work!
