About the Book

This is an imaginative and inspiring tale of how the watermelon came to share the story of Jesus (Yahshua). The story is told through the perspective of the Gethsemane garden characters—the olive trees, the animals, the rocks, and the birds. Readers of all ages will never view a watermelon or nature the same way again! God’s Plan for your Life Begins with Your Salvation Jesus said, “Ask, and it will be given to you: seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” (Matthew 7:7) Ask God to reveal Himself to you. Start by reading the New Testament in the Bible. Remember, He lives, and though you may not be able to see Him with your eyes, you will be able to sense Him by His presence. Seek Him daily as you would your family and friends. Say to God that you know you are not perfect and have sinned. Jesus was the only one who kept all of the commandments and never sinned. If you have even told one lie, you have a seed of sin. Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned and all short of the glory of God.” Knock for understanding and knowledge to be revealed. He will hear you and answer. One day, Jesus will knock on your heart’s door. He will stand there until you open the door and invite Him in. he will never force His way in nor let Himself into your heart without your invitation. Then pray when you want to invite Jesus into your heart and ask for forgiveness of your sins. You will then be born again spiritually by the Holy Spirit living in your heart. You will turn from a self-directed life and turn to a life God has planned for you. You now know God as Father, God as Son, and God as the Holy Spirit living in you and through you. Your eternal life in Heaven is now secure by the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

About the Author

I was born in Alexandria, Louisiana, and introduced to Jesus and God at a young age through a small community church. That experience set forth my lengthy personal journey to understand him and know him as my Lord and Savior. I realize now the journey would not have been so difficult if the Gospel message would have been simply relayed in a way that any child could understand and remember. My passion, upon becoming a Christian at age 32, was to share Jesus (Yahshua) with others so they could find their special purpose and God’s plan for their life. My desire for readers of all ages is for them to start a personal relationship with Jesus by reading this simple story, which can begin their journey in knowing Jesus as the Way, the Truth, and the Life. For Christians, may this story be shared with friends, family, and used in community outreach to share his love and his desire to have a relationship with people all around the world. The Watermelon Story was an answer to my prayer and inspired by him. Turn the pages, go back in time, and discover your future in him. To God (Yahweh) be the glory.
