About the Book

These original hymns refl ect the strength and love received from the selected Old Testament Scriptures during Helen Schmill's lifetime, often during times of trial. The poetry is meant to be clear, easy to read. and a comfort for others in similar need. Helen credits the Holy Spirit for the work. The 79 poems were written in 20 days. She is currently at work on the companion volume, A Grandmother's New Testament Hymns.

About the Author

Helen Schmill, Wyoming native and inspirational writer, studied poetry writing at Casper College and the University of Wyoming. She had a poem published when she was eight in the Casper Tribune-Herald and has written poetry ever since. She has four grandchildren who trust her understanding love. Her purpose here is to help readers and their audiences share her appreciation for Milton’s timeless story.
