About the Book

This story has a profound message for young as well as mature readers. A grieving heart has turned cold and uses poisons that hurt the natural world. Then a pure heart based in service warms with love, ultimately “saving the world.” If only each one could save their “own” garden the world would be at peace. --Susannah Bragg, Environmental Educator

About the Author

Mary R. Hardwick retired as Director of Theatre and Professor of Acting and Oral Interpretation of Literature after 27 years at Clarion University of Pennsylvania. In this tale, she still creates and acts from her Suppose, hoping to engage readers, who delight in the antics of fairies. This is her first book. She lives in Fort Myers, Florida. Deborah Alden Burghardt is Director and Professor of Women and Gender Studies at Clarion University of Pennsylvania. She was granted the gift of sight, given to those who believe in fairies, while wandering in the Lillydale woods. The retelling of the tale caused loving friends to fill her home with fairy figures, muses, who whispered, “tell our story.” This is her first book. She lives in Clarion and Fort Myers, Florida.
