Joseph Murphy avoids mob involvement and spends his time working hard to become a successful millionaire. He purchases a famous "Club" in the country that he once knew in his younger days. While at the club, he discovers he has a daughter when she is playing along the beach. Unbeknown to her, he vows to provide for her and keep her safe.

His daughter is raised by an abusive aunt who was given charge over her. She never knew her father, but as an adult she discovers how he indeed, kept her safe and provided for her.

About the Author

A.K. Strom is a retired widow, mother, and grandmother. She is a life-long resident of a small Northern Illinois town. Round Lake Park Illinois is an urban country setting about one hour north of Chicago Illinois. She lives with her dog and one cat. Along with her husband of forty eight years, they raised four boys. Six grandchildren are now an added part of the family. After high school graduation in Clinton, Iowa she attended nursing school in Waukegan, Illinois, and completed her education by becoming a certified Pharmaceutical technician. Between a working career, remodeling her home, traveling, and spending time with family and friends, she is at last ready to fulfill one of the wishes on her "bucket-list": write and publish books. A.K. has taken advantage of family and friends to spark her wild imagination to create stories based both on historical fact and fiction.
