About the Book

First Lieutenant Maximilian Buckley and Dr Samuel Levi were lovers in 1972 while assigned to Berlin Brigade Headquarters. Later that year, Sam´s paranoid threat to squeal to the Military Police along with the United States’ thinking a tour in Vietnam would do him good, Max decides that life in communism is far better than death in capitalism. So he defects to the East. And thus the plot thickens.

Dennis Milholland was educated in the humanities and law at Heidelberg and Berlin. At present, he resides in Ireland where he works as a ghostwriter, journalist, and novelist.
