About the Book

Did you know that there really are pink elephants, pink hippos and even pink dolphins? They do in fact exist but only in certain parts of the world. The Pink Dolphins of the World will introduce you to the beautiful pink dolphins in their natural environment. Learn about their names, the different countries they live in and other interesting facts! See how we are connected and why, if we help save these endangered dolphins, we might just save ourselves in the process.

About the Author

Dr. Michael Tobet lives in Fairfield County, Connecticut. He has always had an interest in the field of marine biology and dolphins since attaining his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Upon hearing and reading about the pink dolphins of Asia, Dr. Tobet traveled to Hong Kong to visit the dolphins in their natural habitat and interview researchers there. Witnessing the beautifully bright pink dolphins of Hong Kong and the challenges they are facing inspired Dr. Tobet to help save the endangered pink dolphins of the world and make these unique animals the symbols for global environmental change. It is his hope that this book will educate and inspire children and, in turn, their parents to take action to help save the pink dolphins of the world, which will also help to save ourselves in the process.
