About the Author

Myra A. Harris is an author, mentor, motivational speaker, and educator. She has always had a passion for writing and helping others. She is the founder and director of a mentoring program that she began in her community called Girls of Essence. Myra was recognized for her leadership by the Girls and Guys Rock Louisiana, where she was selected as an “I ROCK” Honoree for 2014. Her passion to write a book for girls was developed through a combination of her experience with youth, passion for mentoring girls, and a long term interest in writing. This book not only allows her to motivate girls in her own community, she is now able to help girls nationally through her writing. Her Notes for Life is guaranteed to inspire many young ladies.
