About the Book

The purpose of this book is to give you that extra push you need to make it to the next year. It is the end of the year, and whether your year has been good or bad, we all need that extra little push to finish strong. Maybe you have been going in the wrong direction all year, and you want a new direction coming into the new year. Or maybe you have indeed been going in the right direction, and you want to simply just keep progressing. It may be entitled A cold December, but maybe your December is in May or July. Maybe your December is in August or September. It is never too late to get it right. We are all going to take a thirty-one-day journey through our December together—one message a day. We are all going to push forward together for a warmer December. Let the journey begin!

About the Author

Quanisha Me’chelle Dawkins 23, dental assistant, born May 23, 1991. Born the younger of two children Quanisha was reared in the home with her mother and step father but spent countless hours with her grandmother (her best friend). As a result of the time spent with her grandmother Quanisha acquired an old soul, wisdom beyond her years, and a gift of faith that can move mountains. Because of the family’s deep belief and commitment to God, Quanisha couldn’t escape being surrounded by Sunday school, bible study, and every church setting that she could be dragged too. These teachings and practices became embedded within her, and are often displayed through the giving herself to others, through an encouraging word, a helping hand, or assisting with the youth department. In December of 2012, Quanisha’s grandmother started losing to her 12 year bout with colon cancer. Through much prayer, fasting, and believing, she had to release her will for God’s will and say her final good bye on Jan. 1, 2013. Although it was one of the hardest things that she had to endure God had a plan, hence the birthing of this book, “A Cold December”.
