The Amazing Tale of Princess Penelope

This is a story about me, Penelope. And this was supposed to be my diary. I know, everybody would think I’m a beautiful and wonderful princess if they heard I was one. You see, it doesn’t always work that way. Also that would make me boring. Every princess has a different story. And today I’m going to tell you mine! I never finished the book in my perspective, because there was so much to do. I may not look beautiful, but I am kind, and that is all there is to it. I used to be a poor girl who wondered what her talent would be, since her parents wanted her so much to be like them. Now, as I grew up, I looked for things that would help me have a better life. On one beautiful morning, I found a mining cart just sitting there by a small cave. I thought I could make a living out of mining, but it just wasn’t possible! It’s because you go mining in a cart and it goes down tracks that could stretch down for miles. I was afraid of heights. The best I could do was sit in the cart and close my eyes. I sat as still and straight as I could and thought of my favorite things. I turned the lever or handle or whatever it was called, and before I knew it, I was sliding down the tracks. “AAAAAHHHH!!!!!” I screamed. The cart rolled at the speed of light! I wanted to jump off, but I couldn’t because then it would have been the end of me. There was a beautifully clear and clean water current swirling violently far beneath the cart I was in. I gulped. I was going downward.....
