About the Book

This funny story about Mr Sox, was inspired by a real life cat. He was black with little white paws, and his tummy was a little bit fat. He sneaks up on Lexi Witch, his owner, when she takes her afternoon nap. Then steals her magic silly sock. He's a very naughty cat. But, Mr Sox gets his payback, when he can't believe his eyes. Lexi Witch returns the favour, and gives him his own surprise!

About the Author

My name is Michelle. I am thirty-seven years old and a single mother of three, and I live in Perth, Western Australia. From the age of eleven, I wanted to be an author and illustrator. With the support of my mum, Clara, and a wonderful primary-school librarian, Mr. Stephen Carly, I believed anything was possible. I had my first son, Michael, at the age of sixteen. A few years later, I started the first few illustrations for this book. Time to time, I would do a bit more and have Michael, with his beautiful big brown eyes, watching me drawing and colour to the last page. At age twenty-eight, I had my other two beautiful children, Alexia and Adam. I put this book on hold for several more years. Sometimes you let go of your dreams to accommodate life. But soon enough, a time comes when you get back to yourself and believe any wish is possible again. So I decided to add the story to the illustrations and finished this book!
