About the Author

About the Author Joann Whitley is an author from Richmond, Virginia. Joann grew up in Fairfield Court along with her nine brothers and sisters. As a child, Joann was always outgoing and adventurous. At the age of twenty-two, Joann joined the army, where she met the love of her life. Joann was married for thirty years to her late husband, Benjamin Whitley Sr. Together they share six children, twelve grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She believes strongly in her faith in God and family. Joann loves to travel and spends time with her grandchildren. She dedicated eighteen years working with the mentally challenged.
