Hi everyone this is Koolie and he is a cousin of Kookies, you know who helped me when I got lost. I met him a little while ago and found out who he was." The others all looked at each Koolie and Tub .then looked at each other. Bub spoke first "What can you do?" Jess said "You're only a bird how can you do tricks and things?" "Kook kook ha ha you'd be surprised" said Koolie. "I can ride on Tubs back while he is riding on Bubs back and maybe Jess could ride on Trixies back, then I could do back flips and things as my wings will help me balance and keep me on Tubs back" "Great idea" the others choroused together. So they got down to trying it all out so they could surprise the children in the morning. The [onies found it rather uncomfortable as they hadn't got blankets on their backs to protect them from the dog's claws but they managed. They had a great time practising and it was very dark by the time they were happy.

About the Book
This story is about two friends, a small black-and-white dog called Tub and a small grey pony called Bub. There are many other animals included and also two children whose pets are Bub and Tub. The animals talk to each other, but the humans don’t understand them. The animals look after the humans, though the humans think it is the other way round. They are always getting into mischief and having adventures.
About the Author
Gill is an Englishwoman living in Queensland. She started off writing these stories for her grandchildren, who loved them. She has traveled to many parts of Australia and loves the wide-open spaces of the outback and the people who live there.
