About the Book

Shakir “Shake” Rollins wants to give up on life. He has lost it all—his family, his faith, and seemingly, his whole future. The only way he sees out of his predicament is the easy way, which is death by his own hands. But then he stumbles upon an assassination and meets Greek, a drug lord with a questionable past. Soon Shake finds out that life is more than dark allies and chasing the next high. He finds out that life can offer much more than is expected and that love and hate are always around the next corner. He has to come out of the shadows, so he dives headfirst into Greek’s empire and learns the true meaning of friendship, family, and ultimate sacrifice. Nothing is as it seems, and the past is never far from the present. When everything he’s worked so hard for is threatened, he must find a way to bring the past, the present, and the future together in order to win the war against Dago. The only problem is that secrets are a way of life for everyone around him. Perception doesn’t always reflect reality.

About the Author

T. W. Sherman (a. k .a Rebel) at the age of sixteen left home against his mother’s advice and ventured into the unknown; the streets. Caught up in a world filled with uncertainty, he faced many trials and tribulations. He had to overcome drug addictions and strong forces that made every attempt to keep him in the game. The game was all he had known for the next fifteen years. He saw lives lost and he lost many loves, however he persevered. Ten years later and by God’s Grace he freed himself from the game and found a new passion in writing which is better than any form of escape he had ever known. Terry spends all of his time writing and focusing on his three daughters, Osha, Londen and Genesis whom he love with all his heart. Overcoming his life’s struggles framed the man that he is today, a winner.
