About the Book

The two sisters sat on the concrete floor in the long hallway outside their room at the Sea Shell Inn. They could hear the loud music from the pool party area below. They were in deep trouble. Holding the plastic bucket of ice, they looked at each other, searching for an answer. Dad would ground them again. He would be furious that they left their room after being told not too. Now here they were, locked out. The book that was supposed to provide a clever way for them to re-enter the room had slipped out of place. There was absolutely nothing to do but sit there, sweating, and wait until their parents came back to the room to discover their sneaking out. "Just great! Now we are in for it", the older sister, Gloria, said. At that moment something moved at the end of the hallway close to the elevator. "What was that?" Ava asked in a whisper as green and blue feathers flew out of the elevator shaft.

About the Author

Gigi lives in Georgetown, Texas, where she retired after practicing many years as a dental hygienist. She now spends her time gardening, crocheting, playing the piano, and writing. Most of her stories are about animals and children because these two occupy the biggest space in her heart. She shares her time with four beautiful granddaughters who live close by and two rescued dogs. Both the girls and the dogs are totally “spoiled,” but that’s just the way it goes. Another of her favorite pastimes is watching old movies. Some of her interest in traveling through time was born in the movie Somewhere in Time and then grew even more inviting to her as she read the Scottish novel Outlander by Diana Gabaldon.
