About the Book

Kathy is in a children's hospital and is very sick. Her parents both work and cannot stay with her during the day. She is alone much of the time except for the nurses that come to check on her. While crying softly in her bed one day, a bright light appears in her room. Then she sees a figure walking out of the light toward her.

About the Author

Marsha Mechaw Franks was raised in rural Cullman County in Alabama. She was a victim of sexual abuse as a child which affected relationships in her life. She grew up knowing what work is from working on a farm that provided for her family. In her 30s, she had an experience with God that changed the course of her life. In her 40s she became a police officer, which helped her to overcome many fears and insecurities in her life. She became an investigator over child and sexual abuse cases. She saw children in many situations where they needed help, support, and love from their exposure to physical and sexual abuse, drugs being manufactured in their house or a parent on drugs, natural disasters, racial tensions, and parental neglect. Now she is retired and working towards being and doing what God has ordained for her. She believes books to help children in difficult situations and to give them hope is what is needed today.
