I AM JESUS

I always wanted a steady and loving home unlike the one I grew up in, which was chaotic, unstable, and violent. Verbal abuse, sever beatings, and molestation seemed to be the norm. I was not sure if I knew what a steady and loving home looked like. I especially did not know if I could create one. I did not have a clue that peace; real peace could exist in a relationship, a marriage, and in a home. I grew up in an environment without my dad in the home and when he was there, all hell broke out. When he was not there, I lived in constant fear of my mother’s manic behaviors. My mother settled down for about four years with my step-dad and it seemed stable between the ages of 9 and 13 during the week. On the week-ends however, there was still loud music, drinking, and fighting. Later, I found out there was also drugs being used amongst the adults who hung out in the home. When my mom and step-dad split up, then the drama in the household started again with drugs/alcohol, loud music, partying, people running in-and-out of the home and arguments leading to fights. I promised myself I would have something different when I grew up. I would dream my husband and children will have a loving and quiet environment to live in free from drugs and alcohol. I did not realize it would take years to create such an environment and I would have to know the Man, Jesus, who is the giver of Love and Peace.
