About the Author

Merlissa M. Reid was born and raised on the beautiful island of St. Croix, US Virgin Islands to Michael and Rosalind Polius. Merlissa is a proud, devoted Seventh-day Adventist Christian. She is also a sister, mother, and wife to Pastor Duane Reid Jr. of the Community of Hope Seventh-day Adventist Church in Maryland. She holds an an Associates of Arts in Education and a Bachelors of Science in Counseling Psychology. Over the past 9 years, Merlissa has served as a Site Director of Early Learning Centers, providing childcare services for children 2-12 years of age. Writing children's books was always on her to-do list. Her inspiration sparked from her sisters, two daughters and all the children she has helped nurtured throughout the years. With her first book, she hopes to strengthen sisterly bonds, ignite sisterly love and help create new memories. She hopes to target and inspire all generations.
