About the Book
Having studied in Malaysia, France and China Lin wants to pass on her experiences of living and studying in the various countries.
My Memories is the story of Lin’s life history - born in West Malaysia and got a scholarship to study in the College of Agriculture for three years . After working for five years in the Department of Agriculture Lin got a French Government Scholarship to France. Her first year was spent in Tours, second and third year in Grenoble and fourth and fifth year in Dijon and then enrolled for PhD at Sorbonne in Paris.
While back in Malaysia she was sent to Australia for two months where she met Dr Gregory Shanahan, a renowned geneticist. Dr. Shanahan went to Malaysia and married Lin. They settled in Sydney, Australia.
About the Author
Lin Shanahan has a Diploma of Agriculture from the College of Agriculture, Serdang Malaysia and a PhD in Comparative Studies of Classes of words between Malay (Indonesian) , French, English and Chinese.from the University of Sorbonne, France.
In Malaysia Lin worked as an Agricultural Officer in the Headquarters of the the Departure of Agriculture , Kuala Lumpur.
In Australia Lin is a teacher of languages and also worked as Chinese Language Consultant. She was sent to the Beijing Language Institute for a year and to Japan for two months to experience Japanese Culture after graduating in Japanese from Macquarie University.
