About the Book

In his career as a psychology professor and clinician, Stephen Hoyer, PhD, has worked to be an explainer. This book is the culmination of his forty-year career of explaining things most people don’t often think about. Coming from a long line of Lutheran pastors going back four generations, he offers psychological and spiritual insights into life, death, and beyond that are professional, personal, and occasionally humorous. He invites readers to think about what we are, what we always have been, and what we might yet become. In a very down-to-earth fashion, he discusses topics such as reincarnation, near-death experiences, after-death communication, spirit channeling, spiritual healing, and more. Venturing well outside the world of traditional psychology, he uses both scientific principles and personal experiences to show us some of the more obscure tools we have at our disposal in our efforts to develop to our fullest potential.
