About the Author
Ray Martinez is a native of Fort Collins, Colorado, with over thirty years of public service. He joined the Fort Collins Police Department in 1974, strengthened community relations, and played a key role in a major international terrorist investigation. He served as Mayor of Fort Collins from 1999 to 2005, and on City Council from 2015-1019, focusing on public policy.
Ray was appointed Co-Chair of the Mayors and Police Chiefs Committee by the United States Conference of Mayors, chaired the National League of Cities Public Safety Committee, and served as a White House appointee by President George W. Bush to the ESGR under Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld. He also is a veteran of the United States Army.
