About the Book

Ward Hollister is "at risk" for one of the most frightening genetic diseases, Huntington's Chorea. When his life was at its most promising he is forced to face the future, not with confidence, but with uncertainty. Covering the years between 1965 and 1985, this is his story and that of his wife Mercedes who has her own uncertainty. Families hold us together. Ward and Mercy are lucky in that respect.

About the Author

Aline Beeson Thompson has been writing since she was 10. When in the early 80s she got a word processor her writing got a little more serious. In 1987 Leisure Books published “Both Sides Now” and vindicated her belief in her own talent. She lives in the Los Angeles area with frequent trips to Las Vegas to visit her daughter. Her three sons live in her area.
