About the Book
In his earlier work, The Universe On Trial, the author explained why there is no universe. A Journey Beyond The Universe examines the scientific consequences of losing the universe idea. This unexpectedly startling and highly innovative return to a theory of absolutivity answers many important questions
For example, if you hold a weight in your hand, the weight generates a force that you oppose and that you can feel. Pull your hand out from under the weight and the weight falls. Did the released weight stop generating that force? If so, why? If not, what opposes that force as the weight falls? Clue: not the universe!
The famous Michelson-Morley experiment of 1887 searched for evidence of an ether stationary in the universe. How should the results of that experiment be interpreted now that we know there is no universe? Einstein’s relativity theories were a consequence of that experiment. Are they about to be stamped with Sir Karl Raimund Popper’s “hallmark of science?”
In addition to clarifying misinterpretations of the past, A Journey Beyond The Universe examines what we know of many basic aspects of nature including force, position, extension, motion, time, mass, inertia, work, energy, gravity, and reference frames. Then it turns those ideas right side up, leading to several surprising discoveries— revealed here for the first time.
