About the Book

On a state college campus during spring break, students enter a dance marathon hoping to win the grand prize of $1000. The promoter of the event, who just happens to be the president of the SGA, has lived a life full of anger and hate towards someone he has lost in life. Once he organizes the dance marathon, he sees the perfect opportunity to unleash his pent-up emotions by making this corrupt generation on the dance floor feel something that they have never felt before, which is true pain, and also to teach them that life will not always be sweet and pleasant and will not always hand things over to you on a silver platter, especially to young people today, who feel that they have the world at their feet. But not every couple on the dance floor is a corrupt youth. Three couples, all of whom are close friends with each other, have simply entered the marathon in the hopes that the prize will make their dreams come true. Minutes become hours, hours turn to days. They must dance or at least keep moving for three hours at a time, with just 20 minute rest periods in between, no exceptions. Soon, they indeed, do start to feel the agony and pain of the marathon, and start collapsing one by one. They must endure the frenzied fury of a derby as well. Yet in the midst of all this, there is one dancer out there who is struggling so hard to win. It is a labor of love, one that not only begins to eat away at the heart of the SGA president and a few other dancers, but will kill him at any moment...
