About the Book
The author created these stories as models to help students develop originality in writing fiction. The first sixteen skits and tales were to induce students to challenge their own personal basic beliefs (political, religious, social, etc.) and then use them as themes for their own stories. (Yes, the author's teaching position was sometimes in jeopardy.) The second half of the book contains the author's own renditions of Aesop Fables, examples to start students off by having them re-create someone else’s works with their own personal twists. For example, tortoises don't run faster than hares, arrogant or otherwise.
