About the Book

Baba never solves any murder mysteries or rescues abandoned children except for a cat. She has no advice for addicts and is a victim only of her own actions. She wants to live the rest of her life peacefully without bothering anyone, but she is plagued by goblins. Almost every day something goes out of whack or people act foolishly without common sense. None of her dilemmas are life-threatening unless she decides they are symptoms of aging, but she has plenty of gumption left and survives with a good laugh at herself. If you are under forty, give this book to your mother because you may become distracted, looking for ways to help Baba. Your mother will know not much can be done and enjoy Baba just the way she is.

About the Author

J.N. Hyatt, grandmother of four, has lived in New Jersey and Indiana but now lives in New Mexico, connected to her children and grandchildren by phone, plane, and train when she is not writing or painting. In addition to short stories, she has published a novel about an artist moving to New Mexico entitled THE LANDLADY: LESSONS FROM A COYOTE.
