About the Book

READERS’ COMMENTS

“As a fellow grandmother and escapee from the society of those who draped themselves around the Country Club pool, I heartily enjoyed the wry wit and wisdom of Jane Hyatt’s NOT AT HOME. She tells it like it is!" --Brent Locke, grandmother of three

“An initiation, a coming-of-age story which can happen at any time in a life.” --Niki Sebastian

“ . . . brave and honest, not a formula book. It made me stop and think.” --Ann Garcia

“Great stuff, well worth reading more than once.” --Bob Johnson, grandfather of four.

“When I read fiction, I look for humor and beauty. I found them both here.” --Marva McGee, grandmother of six, great-grandmother of two

“ . . . intelligent, thoughtful, without wild sex and violence. Lots of people will love it.” --Betsy Clarke, grandmother of seven, great-grandmother of two

“ Parts of this story are deep and thought provoking; some of the characters annoyed me thoroughly." -—Johanna Keenan, step-grandmother of twelve, step-great-grandmother of three

“A thoroughly engaging, live, lusty novel about a single woman in her sixties, creating a new life with no models.” —-Mariel Kinsey, grandmother of four
