About the Book

"He wanted to tell them.  He wanted to speak of it so badly, but what could he say?  Should he tell them that he all but mocked God, and was dismissed?  Tell them that now this savior of Meridian, if not all of Constee has fallen from grace?  What do you do, when you have offended God?  Who do you go to, to make it right?  He had no idea what to do next.  His lack of knowledge in such matters, gave him over to a spirit of fear, self-loathing, and emptiness. "

He was the neglected son of a warrior king, ostracized by most of the people in Meridian.  Even his name was an insult.  Still,  Zandi wanted to be accepted.  A wish that would not come true, not until he entered his wilderness.  After the false testimony of the court messenger he was found guilty of murdering his family.  In his resulting banishment he discovered his place in himself, in the world, and in God's plans.  For a young man filled with anger towards God and no sense of his own manhood, it was not an easy task.

About the Author

I am a father of two children, a boy and a girl. I am married and a life long resident of the Washington DC. metro area. This is my first book of poems. I have published poetry in anthologies, such as WPFW 89.3 FM Poetry Anthology, and I have participated in poetry readings, some on cable TV, and radio. I have also published articles in small press magazines such as America's Intercultural Magazine. I write poetry from the average person to the average person. I believe the reason poetry is not attractive to most readers, is because many poems are to high minded. I have also completed a children's book, Fuzzy's Last Adventure, and a novel, THE ORB.
