When Time Stood Still offers a glimpse into the past when life was simpler, yet often more difficult. It is a true story about growing up in the 1920’s and 1930’s and the bonds of friendship that were forged through the game of baseball. From playing sandlot to championship level baseball games, the author recalls the adventures of his baseball team and the search, more than 50 years later, which reunited them once again.

About the Author

Robert S. Landisi is a lifetime resident of New Jersey. He is retired, following a long, successful career in the retail business. Josephine, the cover model of Maggie and his beautiful and loving wife of 54 years, passed away in 1998. Robert has found great pleasure in writing and sharing his stories. His first book, When Time Stood Still, is a true story of friendships forged through the game of baseball and the search to reunite a team more than fifty years later. He is inspired by his daughters, Linda and Lorraine, his grandchildren, Heather and Eric and his great-grandson, Tyler.
