About the Book
Picture a small town in the southern mountains. We started out in a leaky, abandoned grocery store on a tiny shoestring. I repaired radios. TV came along and in time our business grew into a fairly large TV Sales and Service operation in a nice new building of our own.
I have always been fascinated with words; the way they can be manipulated The colorful expressions used by my customers in the store appealed to me. I began scribbling them on scraps of paper. Forty years I scribbled, and these are the expressions my customers used.
About the Author
Dr. L. Adelia Duggins is a retired educator. After obtaining her doctorate from Columbia University, she enjoyed a long career as a reading specialist. Most of that career was at the University of Bridgeport where she authored various technical material to be used in teaching reading. She has also written three fictional works: “One For The Little Boy”, “Tidelights”, and “River Gathering.”
