About the Book
In Globe Trotting: A Travel Memoir, Jose Fermin chronicles his travel experiences in all continents: In America where he has so far explored 41 states, in Oceania where he first discovers the thrill of adventure, South America where he advises: if given only one place to visit, choose Machu Picchu, Africa: “my best trip so far.” He sums up his European impressions: “When everything is said and done about travel, Europe is still the best place for me.” In all places, he searches for his Philippines. Mishaps and ghosts haunt him. Finally, he goes out on a limb and names his favorite world spots.
