About the Author
Laura McBride has has a varied life which is reflected in the settings of her novels. She lived in Asia for twelve years during the period of the Viet Nam hostilities. This novel of Hong Kong is based on that period … a time of British stewardship on a base of traditional Chinese life. The characters are purely imaginary and, though some of the incidents are based on actual happenings, the book is in no sense autobiographical. This is McBride’s second book published by Xlibris. Her first, SUCH THINGS AS DREAMS, reflects her earlier life in theatre.
