About the Book
The grandfathers of the characters in these stories were colored. Their fathers Negroes. They themselves have been Black and are now African-American. These people have, for the most part, solved the problems of food, shelter and clothing and they are well aware of their less fortunate brothers and sisters. As they are aware that they are in an ongoing war against racism. Of some battles won- some lost. With skirmishes breaking out almost daily.
These stories are not a retelling of those struggles nor are they the usual tales of the so-called black experience. The people of these stories love, hate, scheme and dream as do all people They are unique only because the culture they are a part of is so unique.
