About the Author: Bennett Rothenberg is the author of the Astrids and four other Books; - Sweat Ground is a collection of his nature poems. - Points of View is a collection of more recent poems. - Tatiana’s World is a collection of fairytales and poems for children of all ages, illustrated by his wife, Taka. - Big and Little Grown Up Poems is a collection of poems for children of all ages, also illustrated by Taka.. He was born in New York City, went to the Horace Mann High School, did undergraduate study at Syracuse University, and graduate work at New York University. He has a master’s degree in English literature and education. After traveling extensively in Europe and the Far East, he worked at his father’s shirt manufacturing business, and later at the Westside News as an assistant editor. Then, after twenty-two years with the New York City Department of Social Services as a caseworker, he retired and now lives in Newburgh, NY.
