About the Book
Lisa, a teenage girl, gets a lesson in life from “The School of Hard Knocks.” Her life is turned upside down when both of her parents are killed in a car accident. Lisa finds herself trying to cope with one struggle after another as she fights to bring stability back into her life. While longing for the relationship she had with her real parents, Lisa finds herself destitute, afraid, and alone. She decides to venture out, on her own, into the cold, hard world. She has no idea where she is headed. In her mind, anywhere but here would be a better place.
