About the Book

This is a story about a little boy named John that had a life-threatening reaction to his peanut butter and jelly sandwich. The books tells of John’s reaction to peanut butter, his hospital adventure and a food allergy plan to keep him safe, all with the help of Ms. Mary, his Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.

About the Author

Mary B. Hammock is a graduate of Emory University and a practicing Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. After working for many years, she opened her own pediatric practice in Marietta, Georgia. Ms. Mary loves her career, watching her patients grow and making a difference in families’ lives. She lives in Kennesaw with her loving husband and four young children. Her favorite time is in the evening when all the children cuddle in the bed with her to read bedtime stories – sometimes it is one book, sometimes it is four.
