About the Book

Mike Barrier and Becki, while on a book-reading tour of I Rode the Wings of the Dawn to the Farthest Oceans in Eastern Europe, are contacted by the CIA to follow, as unsuspected tourists, a couple of suspicious interest. Their heart-pounding pursuit into Siberia finds them on the Trans-Siberian Express involved with murder. Apparently, Hilary died with a secret. A secret unbeknownst to Mike and the others that sailed on their yacht, Becki. A secret that could terrorize the entire world. An other-worldly secret. This is an intense thriller that threatens and challenges Mike and Becki’s love for each other.

About the Author

Michael Sandusky began writing at the age of twelve on his Tom Thumb typewriter. His first novel was a page and a half, single spaced. He continued writing published poetry and short essays through high school. After a hiatus of twelve years of music and traveling, he resumed writing and authored an inspirational weekly newspaper column, “Look Up.” It was during this time that he began his first novel as an adult, entitled Love Story. During the editorial process, the publisher informed him they felt it was the wrong timing and dropped the project. Thus began a file folder of rejection notices. Time passed as he built a business, a family, and two homes. Then on November 26, 1994, after suffering a midlife crisis and coming out of a clinical depression, he began writing again. It began as therapy, and it worked. That first novel (again) was called Flight from Destiny. More books followed, which included Bathsheba’s Eyes, which caught the attention of Hollywood. Short stories presented to magazines, self-help books, and even music lyrics followed in the wake. Finally, after two divorces and cancer, he began to write about himself—first about his travels throughout the world in Wounded Wanderer then about his run from love after receiving a yacht and a large inheritance in I Rode the Wings of the Dawn to the Farthest Oceans. In his latest offering, Hilary’s Secret, he continues Mike and Becki’s love story. After being educated in the San Francisco Bay area, he spent thirty years in Arizona and then moved to East Texas, where he resides in the country gardening, writing, cooking, and trying to learn to paint. When time allows, he goes fishing and continues to see the world.
