About the Book

I Am . . . I Can: The Rooster is the sixth book in this series of children’s books. The rooster is faced with the dilemma of realizing he must be able to crow at the sun when it appears in the morning. But as a youngster, his first try is disastrous, and he hangs his head in shame when all the other roosters laugh at his attempt. His mother encourages him to practice because first attempts are usually not perfect. So he does, and soon he is able to crow a beautiful song at the rising sun.

About the Author

Spending time as a volunteer for local organizations; Reins of Life, Washington Park Zoo and area schools as a representative for the Junior Achievement program and in class development, writing children's books that incorporate animals as an encouragement to children to reach goals and overcome hardships and develop self-esteem had a positive result in fulfilling a dream that would give children a fun way to learn not to be afraid of life's challenges.
