The Adventures of Nana's Gnomes

About the Book

My story is about garden gnomes venturing out of their comfort zone to explore their surroundings. Samuel, an old gnome and very experienced gives them the nudge to go, along with sound advice. They have to ask Rose the fairy to make them invisible with her special magic wand. They do have a few reservations, being their first time away from home. Their day involves different emotions from excitement, disappointment, joy and some scary moments. As the story evolves there are moments that children should relate to. Making sure they have water and clearing up after their picnic.

About the Author

I was born in Nairobi, Kenya, East Africa in March 1953. My father was Stan Lawrence-Brown. I attended Karen Primary School, Kenya Girls’ High School and Valley Secretarial College. My husband and I were married in 1971. Growing up in East Africa was exciting and often adventurous when going on safari with my father. In 1984 my husband and I, with our daughters made the heart wrenching decision to leave Africa, and migrate to Australia I guess I can say I have had the best of both worlds. This story is for my grandchildren and maybe one day great grandchildren.
