About the Author

Lakshan is born in Fiji but now lives in Samford Valley, Queensland, Australia.She is a retired primary school teacher with BEd, MEd St, DipT Prim and Certificate in Children’s writing. During her teaching career, she was awarded Teacher Excellence level 1 and level 11. As a teacher, she made an outstanding contribution to education as a Curriculum Coordinator, and mentor to new teachers and student teachers. She served on Board of Teacher Education with University of Northern Territory. Now she is a full time children’s fiction writer and dedicates her time researching issues that affect our children in current environment. She has written a three-book series, ‘The Tale of Brave Ritchie’ which deals with stranger danger, bullying, and obesity.
