About the Book
Are you looking for something a little less ‘scary’, to read to your children, than some of the ‘monster’ books that are around today? This book has short stories that have adventures for animated beings, happening in normal everyday life on a farm in England.
About the Author
Marian Marsden is a grandmother of 6 children who have spent many hours at ‘Crows Nest Farm’, where she have lived for 48 years. The children, her own and their children, who have listened to bed time stories and the ‘made-up’ stories were always about two fictitious mice called Minty and Marmaduke. Their adventures are always happening around the farm, the barn or fields, incorporating other creatures around. The stories always ended happily. For many years (the author’s eldest grandchild is 17 years old), she have illustrated cards for birthdays or special occasions, with Minty and Marmaduke featured on them. So it was suggested that she should do a book for them all, which is how and why she have produced this first children’s book.
