About the Book

K. K. Paddywhack is the authors alter ego, derived from the 1950s Burl Ives folk song (knick knack, paddywhack, give a dog a bone...).  Like the author, Paddywhack is now old, living in suburbia, surrounded by suburban grassy lawns.  Rolling Home is his songbook written at the end of the 20th Century as he contemplates his mortality.

Entering the Valley & Other Poems includes verses from the authors earlier chapbooks along with a collection of more recent poems. One recurring theme is living as an elderly member of that CroMagnon species which first emerged during the Ice Ages.
