About the Book

New Mexico Territory late 1800’s,  Indian Territory in Oklahoma, post Civil War Texas, New Orleans at its rowdiest and finest,  are the settings for this story of a strong independent woman, molded by a dysfuntional childhood, and her struggles to overcome the fates and find security in love.

About the Author

Sandra Stevens Brown spent over 35 years in education, as a teacher, counselor, and school psychologist. Now retired, she lives in southern Oklahoma with her husband, two dogs and a cat. Previously published works include “Imagery in the Theatre of Cocteau” through the University of Oklahoma Press, and “Sun-Kissed Kitty Learns How to Say No”, a children’s story dealing with peer pressure. STARDUST IN THE WIND is her first novel, a result of years of interest in southwestern history and stories about strong, independent women.
