Authors of award-winning short story, “Deathwatch,” and recently published (already highly acclaimed) true-crime novel, A Chilling Absence of Love, Betty J. Hunt and Helen-Aurelia Smith, became co-writers after retiring from The California Institution for Women. Betty lives in Riverside near her family. Helen shares her hilltop home, overlooking Lake Elsinore, with dogs and wild birds. Each enjoys camping and rock-hounding. They often join others in motorhoming through the U.S.A.
