About the Book
How can three sisters come out of the same womb and be so completely different? That's the question their mama has been asking since 1967. There is no answer anywhere to be found. Not now, not ever.
Kathy was five-ten, with hips and butt that refused to be camouflaged. She had a smooth auburn look with a touch of bronze. Her hair came gently around her neck and shoulders. The breast was in proportion with her hips, not too big, not too small. Just right! Yet when she looked in the mirror she did not see the bronze diva. She was a slightly overweight woman with a head of mane that would not be tamed. Unlike her sister Martha, who believed the sun rose just for her. Kathy could not hide the sad insecure little girl inside.
Then in walks Martha. Confident, she was actually overly confident. Martha was five-nine and a knockout. Unlike her sisters, Martha was dark as midnight. Lips plump and juicy. She was a perfect eight in figure and size. Her gate was that of a pedigree pooch auditioning for a show. She has one problem. MEN! Can't live with'em, can't live without'em. This phrase unfortunately was her life story, so far.
Poor Stacey, she is barely there. Just barely breathing. If you blinked you would miss her. Stacey is an even six-feet tall, but the smallest of all the sisters in spirit. She is rail-thin with no signs of improvement. Like Kathy, looking in the mirror is a problem. The reflection seems like it wants to laugh and walk away. To everybody's dislike she got through her pain by giving it. Harsh words were her weapon of choice. Don't ask her a question if you don't want her particular answer.
Mom was a combination of all three. This would confuse most people but not Helen. Helen knew exactly who she was and, more importantly, why she was. Helen has a goal in life. She has to get daughters on track. They're on one but the wrong one.
