About the Book
Anything That Moves begins an exploration of the impulses and desires of Amsterdam, a troubled, sexually-ambivalent drifter, whose family and friends become ensnared in three deaths. Written in a style that recreates Amsterdam’s world, Anything That Moves is filled with action, drama, wit, humor, and mystery. Follow Amsterdam as he blazes a violent path out of one life and into another. Murder and mayhem follow Amsterdam as he discovers the true realities of suburban northern Virginia, as he hitch-hikes to a snow-isolated cabin in Maine with narcotic-selling Deadheads, and finally as he blasts his way out of a dead end job as a security guard in Boston. Anything That Moves will shock and repulse some readers, but all readers will be fascinated by the truths as the bodies are unearthed, especially during a post-menage a trois murder, which brings back inescapable routes that Amsterdam must travel once again.
About the Author
Mid-thirties, with a professional degree, and a veteran of the military and the federal government, J Price Vincenz writes fiction in order to add possibilities to his rather mundane life. A daily runner, vegetarian, and movie-lover, Vincenz has spent his life perfecting the art of superficial social conformity. He lives along the Mid-Atlantic seaboard, where he teaches college writing. Vincenz co-wrote the screenplay for an unreleased two-hour film based on a short story by Henry James. Vincenz has also directed an environmental documentary, written several articles on film and literature, and several published poems and short stories, all under another name.
