About the Book

This book is about a boy who thinks he is old enough to take care of himself. His search for the independence takes him across the Black Sea and back. He encounters people and foods that are exotic and new but his adventure teaches him a valuable lesson that every mother hopes her child would learn.

About the Author

Charles Erlikh is a senior at Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua, New York. He got his inspiration for this book from taking a Children’s Literature course with Ms. Ward. In his writings he often incorporates the elements of his Russian Heritage. This is his first Children’s Book.
