About the Book

Jack Taylor, a former pro football player turned Real Estate Attorney residing in Dallas, Texas is charged with murder. He was arrested at the scene where the man that brutally raped his therapist was found dead from a shotgun blast. Jack had the murder weapon in his hand and admitted to the arresting officer that he had indeed committed the crime.

Carol Senter, Jack’s defense attorney does indeed have a daunting task in front of her; get a man acquitted that had plenty of time to call down after he happened upon the rape scene and found his therapist disheveled and crying on the ground.

Jack was the product of a broken home; his alcoholic father abandoned him and his mother when he was in middle school. Just a mere 6 months later he found his mother dead from an overdose. He was in therapy to cope with his painful childhood; it would be understandable to most that he had deep maternal feelings for his therapist.

To complicate matters more, Jack and Carol develop romantic feelings for each other which is not a great idea for a married woman during a murder trial to develop feelings for her client who has put his future in her hands.
