Rachel is a young woman raising her son and trying to do the right thing captures your heart.  Her husband, David, is lost without the guidance of a father he has never met.  Cody, their best friend, has no strong family ties and is drawn into this bond of friendship with Rachel and David.  As these characters begin to etch their lives, they suffer the consequences of the era and their own inadequacies.

About the Author

Gail L. Hanley resides in the Sandhills of North Carolina with her husband Bob. She has spent the majority of her career in Advertising as a Marketing Director. She has written several short stories that have won her recognition in the community of writers. “For My Granddaughter’s Sake” is her first novel. Presently, Gail is working on her second novel, which is a follow up to “For My Granddaughter’s Sake”, entitled, “Your Son Or Mine”. Coupled with her interest in the human psyche and her strong beliefs that families matter, Gail is continuing to write and pursue her creative endeavors.
